Developer Donny Churchman honors his family’s legacy by staying true to his roots. Coming from a long line of visionaries and public servants, you could say cultivating city ideals is just part of his DNA. With a grandmother, Katie Nack, who served on the Pasadena, CA Planning Commission, Unified School District Board of Education, City Council and finally as the city’s Mayor, the growth and development of her city was so important, she devoted her life to making sure her city lived up to its potential. Churchman’s own grandfather, Donald Nack, founded an engineering consulting firm and won multiple lifetime awards for his progressive designs in energy efficiency. Passing the collaborative and innovative torch right down the line, Churchman’s mother served as Economic Developer for two separate counties, his aunt spent a decades long career as a staff employee for major elected officials and his uncle still owns and operates a successful California Engineering firm. From School Superintendants to a City Mayor of one of this country’s finest cities, this family truly has a “Nack” for community outreach.
